Head of School Vacancies at Boyton Primary School and Callington Primary School

The Duchy Academy Trust formed in 2014 when three schools, Callington, Boyton and Lewannick Primaries came together in a shared vision of ensuring we provide an environment that prepares children to be confident and happy citizens. We pride ourselves on placing the children at the centre of everything we do, with the vision that they are able to access exceptional teaching which inspires them to persevere and be creative in every aspect of their academic and personal lives. The Duchy Academy Trust are looking to appoint two outstanding and inspiring Head of School for January 2022 at Boyton and Callington Primary Schools. This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic and talented leader with a proven track record of raising standards and improving teaching and learning within their schools. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and organisation of the school. There will also be a level of teaching during the week depending on the school.


Working alongside the Executive Headteacher, you will have the leadership qualities to inspire and encourage staff and pupils, to achieve their very best. Leading on continuous improvements in teaching and learning, whilst embracing the Trust’s mission statement and values that we strive for every day.

Teaching Assistant - Callington Primary School

We are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant with Lunchtime Supervision responsibilities to join our hardworking and dedicated team at Callington Primary School to work 20 hours 50 minutes per week. The post is required to work Monday – Friday 9am -1.10pm to start as soon as possible, initially on a temporary basis with the view to becoming permanent. During the Covid 19 situation we are only able to offer visits to the school for shortlisted candidates.


Payscale: E6 £17,244 FTE

Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Boyton Primary School

Boyton Primary School is seeking to recruit a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team from November, initially on a fixed contract until 31st August 2022, with the view to being a permanent position, working 24 hours per week term time over 4 days.


You need to be a committed and enthusiastic person who loves working with children and helping them to strive for their best.  You will be able to communicate effectively with children and adults, have a flexible attitude, good sense of humour and be friendly and approachable with a high level of energy and a ‘can do’ attitude.

Payscale: H1 - H6 £21,143 - £25,464 FTE

Afterschool Club Leader - Callington Primary School

Callington Primary School has a vacancy for an Afterschool club leader, providing high quality and much needed ‘wrap around’ care to our pupils. We are looking for an enthusiastic  and inspirational individual for the post to as soon as possible. You will be required to work Monday to Friday from 2.15pm to 6.15pm and will plan and prepare engaging and fun activities for children in both keystage 1 and 2. The appointment initially will be fixed for 1 year.

Payscale: F3 - £7,920 per annum


Cleaner - Boyton Primary School

We are looking to appoint a Cleaner who will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene throughout the buildings and grounds.


The post will commence from as soon as possible, and initially offered on a temporary basis with a possibility to become permanent. The successful candidate will be expected to work Monday to Friday, term time only for 2 ½ hours per day, which are flexible and will be discussed at interview when the hours can be worked. Some work during the school holidays will also be required. 

Payscale: E4 - FTE £17,189 per annum.
